Help Preserve Our History - IACP Conference Badges
At the direction of the IACP Executive Committee, the Association is continuing its commitment to capturing IACP’s history and to bring it before various law enforcement and public audiences.
We have been working to pull the pieces of IACP’s history together and in recent years have been able to obtain a variety of historic artifacts that have been donated to us by the IACP membership. These items include past conference programs, photos of delegates assembled at past IACP conferences, memos and correspondence of historic significance, and conference badges.
Our conference badge collection efforts have been most productive. To date, we have assembled more than 30 badges from IACP annual meetings held between 1893 and 1951. Those that are in our possession, or for which we have photographs, are displayed on a special poster that was created for the IACP 2010 Conference in Orlando.
