GETTING TO THE IACP
Train & Area Transit
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) station in &Alexandria is located just steps from the King Street Metrorail Station. The King Street Metrorail Station is more than a mile from IACP, so plan to take a taxi or connect with a bus from the station to IACP. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) provides convenient public transportation via Metrorail from Reagan National Airport, stopping directly outside the main terminal. To get to the IACP, take either the Blue Line towards Franconia Metro or the Yellow Line towards Huntington Station. Just one stop from the airport, exit the train at the Braddock Road Station.
From Washington Dulles International Airport, take the 5A bus at curb 2E to Rosslyn Metro Station. Take the Metrorail Blue Line towards Franconia Metro and exit at Braddock Road Station.
From Baltimore Washington International Airport, take the B30 bus towards Greenbelt Station. At Greenbelt Metro Station, take the Metrorail Green Line towards Branch Avenue. At the Mount Vernon Square 7th Street-Convention Center Station (or anywhere between Mt. Vernon and LeEnfant Station), transfer to the Yellow Line towards Huntington Station. Exit at Braddock Road Station.
IACP is about one half mile from Braddock Road Station, so from this point options include walking, transferring to a bus, or taking one of the taxis at the taxi stand in front of the station. The WMATA online Trip Planner can provide specific information about which buses to take and where to exit them. At the time of this writing, the rail-to-bus fare from Reagan National Airport to IACP is $2.60-$3.00 cash, depending on the time of day. Likewise, from Dulles Airport the fare is $5.80-$6.90 and from Baltimore Washington Airport the cost is $6.70-$8.85. See the Metro Website for the latest up-to-date information.
