Officer Safety and Organizational Wellness Section
The Officer Safety and Organizational Wellness Section shall be organized and operated in accordance with the IACP Constitution, rules, and objectives.
The purpose of this Section shall be to provide the policing profession and, more specifically, the policing executive with information, training, and a forum for discussion of all topics related to officer safety and wellness. These issues include, but are not limited to, mental wellness, resiliency, peer support, body armor, injuries, shift length, suicide prevention, and tactical safety.
The Section shall actively promote through education and training an increased understanding of officer safety and organizational wellness initiatives in the policing community to include the specific goals and objectives set by the Chair and further leadership of the section.
The Section shall assist the IACP and its membership in coordinating efforts to implement mutual priorities for police executives in the officer safety and wellness arena.
