Global Reach
International perspectives are vitally important to all law enforcement leaders and IACP helps facilitate the sharing of that perspective through a number of forums. Through relationships with other international organizations, the IACP's members turn to each other to answer questions of global relevance.
Global Policing
With more than 34,000 members in over 170 countries, the IACP has a vast global reach. IACP’s Global Initiatives are housed under the provision of the Global Policing Division. The Global Policing Division was established to provide a strategic plan for the international programs and activities of the IACP.
IACP’s global reach also includes the International Managers of Police Academy and College Training (IMPACT) Section, Trust Building Campaign, Cultural Transformation in Policing, and the International Road Policing Alliance (IRPA).

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) - Ministry of Interior, United Arab Emirates
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between IACP and the UAE Ministry of Interior was signed on October 6, 2019, in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The signing ceremony was held during IACP's World Regional Office opening in Abu Dhabi.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) - Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP)
In October 2019, IACP signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police (PICP) at the IACP 2019 Annual Conference in Chicago, IL.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) - RoadPol
IACP signed an MOU with RoadPol at the 2022 World Police Summit in Dubai, UAE in March 2022.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) - The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCCPOL)
On January 20, 2020, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between IACP and The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCCPOL) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Migrant Smuggling Operations, Management, and Intelligence Training
Through grant funding from Global Affairs Canada, the International Association of Chiefs of Police in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is conducting joint technical assistance and investigative techniques project, the Migrant Smuggling Operations, Management, and Intelligence Training project, to increase the capacity of national authorities in the Dominican Republic to prevent, identify, investigate and persecute the smuggling of migrants by land, air, and sea. National authorities that are receiving equipment, supplies, and training under the grant agreement include members of the Dominican National Police, the Dominican Navy, and other key actors on issues related to illegal migration, human smuggling, and human rights protection in the Dominican Republic.
Plan Cuadrante
As a subgrantee to the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), the IACP is assisting PADF with the evaluation, revision, and rural implementation of Plan Cuadrante. Plan Cuadrante is a national deployment model implemented by the Colombian National Police (CNP). IACP has held roundtable discussions with CNP officials of multiple ranks representing five rural regions in Colombia and developed recommendation reports based on the discussions, comparative research, and most promising practices for rural implementation.

World Police Summit
President Henninger, Executive Director Vince Talucci, IACP's World Regional Office Chairs, members of IACP's Board of Directors, and IACP staff members attended the World Police Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in March 2022. Members of IACP's Board of Directors participated in panel discussions, workshops, and events at the summit hosted by the UAE Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police. At the summit, IACP held bilateral meetings with several agencies and organizations, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ROADPOL.
International Association of Women Police (IAWP)
In 2019, IACP executive leadership attended the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Executive Board meeting in Quito, Ecuador.
2022 IACP Board Meeting - Québec City, Québec
The 2022 IACP Board Meeting was held in Québec City, Québec on August 5-7, 2022 in partnership with the CACP Board.

New Global Tiered Dues Structure
Seeking to improve equity for all members, the IACP is announcing a revised tiered dues structure based upon the World Bank’s country economic groupings. The IACP is offering international membership rates to allow those from lower-income economies to have more affordable access to the benefits and resources provided by the IACP.
What does this mean for you? All IACP members will continue to receive invaluable benefits and resources however, international members from lower-income economies will now have more affordable access. Members from Tier I countries will continue to receive Police Chief magazine mailed to them. Members from Tiers II, III and IV will receive access to the translated digital version at a reduced fee. The new membership dues fee structure went into effect on January 1, 2023.
Visit Membership Criteria to determine your country's tier and corresponding membership fee. United States and Canada are Tier 1.
