Capitol Police Section
The Capitol Police Section promotes exchange of information and develops standards for increasing the efficiency and capabilities of each law enforcement agency that provides service to our state and nation’s critical assets.
Defense Chiefs of Police Section
The Defense Chiefs of Police (DCOP) Section provides members opportunities to develop and promote professional relationships, and to increase the efficiency and capabilities of law enforcement agencies that provide service and support to the Armed Forces.
Drug Recognition Expert Section (DRE)
The Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Section provides a unique opportunity for those professionals associated with drug recognition to share common management, training, administrative and practicing concerns.
Human Resources Section
The Human Resources (HR) Section shall be organized and operated in accordance with the IACP Constitution, rules, and objectives.
Indian Country Law Enforcement Section
IACP's Law Enforcement Indian Country Section is comprised of IACP members who focus on prevalent topics related to Indian Country Law Enforcement.
International Managers of Police Academy and College Training (IMPACT) Section
The IMPACT Section encourages and facilitates the coordinated exchange of ideas, procedures, and specific information for the professional leadership and management of education and training within police agencies. The ultimate goal of IMPACT is to enhance the quality of law enforcement and policing at the international level through education and training.
Law Enforcement Information and Technology Section (LEIT)
The IACP Law Enforcement Information and Technology (LEIT) Section provides law enforcement executives, IT managers, and technology specialists with a forum in which to share information, best practices and lessons learned regarding state-of-the-art law enforcement information management, communications and interoperability, technology standards, and information sharing, analysis and fusion.
Legal Officers Section
The Legal Officers Section assists in the establishment of professional standards, assistance, and cooperation among attorneys who provide legal advice or representation to law enforcement administrators.
Officer Safety and Organizational Wellness Section
The Officer Safety and Organizational Wellness Section shall be organized and operated in accordance with the IACP Constitution, rules, and objectives.
Police Chaplain Section
The mission of the Police Chaplain Section shall be to provide the law enforcement profession and, more specifically, law enforcement executives, with information, training, and a forum for discussion on police chaplain-specific topics.
Police Physicians Section
The Section promotes the exchange of information among physicians who provide service to police agencies and acts as a resource to the association for medically related issues.
